Anyone else have experience visiting the reed islands on Lake Titicaca? I just got back from a trip to Bolivia and had some trouble figuring out how to get around the floating islands. Most tour operators offer guided tours, but if you're looking for more flexibility, it's worth renting a reed boat with a local guide - they can take you to places that are off the beaten path.
